Summerfield Park
Twelve years ago I campaigned to get Ladywood Councillors to address the decline in Summerfield Park. I drew together local residents who cared. We succeeded in getting £600,000. All of our demands were met.
I have tried to set up a friends group twice but stalled because of family needs. We would now like to get properly constituted. At present we don't really exist. We are merely a loose network of friends and neighbours.
Our future plans are to:
- Set up a proper Friends group.
- Manage the Millenium woodland.
- Restore the Band Stand or invest in it to change / reverse the decline.
- Set up an experimental allotment / demonstration garden.
