Friends of Daisy Farm Park, Billesley.
Cemetaries are Open Spaces Too
A group of local residents and community representatives have proposed the establishment of the Friends of Brandwood End Cemetary.
Their aim is to restore the chapels and the cemetary so that they can be used more effectovely as a green, open space. As well as being a place of reflection they hope to develop the site as an educational resource.
They are hoping to raise funds to restore the buildings and to extend planting. They are planning tree and shrub planting and the creation of flower beds. Bird and bat boxes have been put up and more have been planned.
They are planning to work with local schools and groups in the community like Age Concern and Primary Care health workers.
