After the Tornado - Balsall Heath Park
Balsall Heath Park was devastated by a tornado on 28 July 2005, with not a tree left intact.
Friends of Balsall Heath Park (FBHP) is lobbying for this disaster to be seen as an opportunity to remake the park, as it cannot be put back together as it was.
FBHP want a budget agreed by Birmingham City Council, and a landscape designer appointed to instigate a community-based process to create a new park based on residents' needs.
On 20th August, just 3 weeks later the Friends of Balsall Heath Park held it's annual 'Monkey Business'.
