Friends of Daisy Farm Park, Billesley.
Friends of Muntz Park receive almost £5000
The Friends of Muntz Park is working towards making the park safer, cleaner and more accessible, by organising work parties to clear rubbish and maintain shrubbery, plant native trees and bulbs and holding free social events in Selly Oak, Birmingham.
This grant is to pay for benches, litter bins and dog bins. We held a public meeting to choose appropriate designs, quantities and locations on 2nd November. It was decided have the park furniture coated in an anti-graffiti paint before installation.
We chose some cast iron benches with metal slats in black and green with the dates 1905 and 2005 to mark the parks centenary. Some picnic benches in green to go near the play area and black and gold litter bins.
